Heaven; Conclusion

In conclusion, through our understanding of heaven we can better understand our role that we play in the universe. Not only do we have to place our hopes in Allah (swt) but also understand the role we play in the universe. Not only do we have to place our hopes in Allah (swt) but also understand that the only way any of us will be saved is by putting forth our best efforts and through Allah (swt)'s mercy towards us. In lfie we are given many chances to perfect our conduct an din the infinite afterlife we can either be trapped and tortured in the hellfire because evil spirits cannot rise or we can prove prove our worth to Allah (swt) by livign our life by his order and will. Compromising our faith for worldy desire is completely unacceptable and destroys the purpose for which we were placed on the arth. We must alway sput Allah (swt) before everythign else and know taaht Allah (swt) will reward us f or our efforts but we must constatnly strive towards perfection and hope that our efforts will not go in vain.

Heaven (part vi) Judgement Day

On the day of judgement, everything as we see it will be changed forever. Human souls along with the whole universe containing the angels and the spirits will be ordered by Allah to go out of existence and again everything will be brought back for the final judgement. The Qur'an states "On that day will we rooll up the heaven as is rolled up written as we caused the first creation so will we get it return (it is) a prmoise binding us. Verily we are doing it" (Quran 21;104). This states that on judgement day the univserse will be foleded up. For thsoe who doubt about the whole unvierse being brought to an end, another phase of life being creted by the Almighty Lord. There cannot be a better answer than the verse "Is not He who created the heavens and the earth and able to create the like of them? Aye, He is for He is the All wise creator". The Qur'an also sttese about the day of judgement "on the day when the heaven shall reel a terrible reeling" (52;9). "And when is rent asunder the heaven them it becometh red like the tanned hide" (Quran 55;37). "on the day the heaven shall be like molted brass" (Qur'an 70;8). This is referring to the state in which the beautiful sky we see now will be transformed presenting the dreadful sight which the infinte mercy of the Lord allowing. Allah (swt) is informing individuals to behave as they please but also effecting the individual punishment in gradual stages, , allowing them chance after chance for the sinner at every statge to repend and rectify his conduct. However greed and selfishness and love of wealth take man away from the right cource eventhough it was made known to them by their predecessors and now man when caught in his own folly tends who tends to throw the blame on others. (Ahmed Ali Quran Tafsir: 70;8)

Heaven (part v) Allah (swt)'s Control over the Seven Heavens

Allah (swt) is the creator and master of the seven heavens. The Qur'an states "Allah it is who raised the heavens without any pillar that ye see then firmly established himself on the thronge of absolute uathority and made subservient the sun and the moon to His will, each one to run its cource to a time appointed for it. Regulateh to the affair, explaineth He the signs (in detail) so that about the meeting with your lord ye may be certain (Qur'an: 13;2). It is asserted here that the administration of the universe is solely Allah's who has created it. This proves Allah's sole authoirty over the universe be that in the realm of creation, legistlative, or admnisistrative and there is no bifurcation of power whatsoever in any realm. These unseen pillars are either the law of gravitation or of equation. (Ahmed Ali Quran Tafsir; 13;2) Allah (swt) further statres; "By the heavens endued with rotation", (Quran 86;11). Here it is referring to the return of the same action or function again and again in the presecribed order or cycle. The return of the monsoonic funcitons and their relaevant changes in the working of the heavenly bodies and the consequent effects on the earth. Though the firmanent above is always the same yet the changes in its function takes place quietly without any vaoice of anyone else in the matter save the iwll of the Almighty author of the universe. The revolving and the change in the activities of the heavenly bodies goes on constantly and it is ever true to its center. it indicates the roatinoal and revolutionary nature of the heeavenly bodies. (Ahmed Ali Quran Tafsir). There is continuous workign of Allah's will with perfect harmony. The whole unvierse is obedient too the law of Allah. The universe is free of imperfections .There is absolute submissiveness of every part and particle of the universe whether animate or inanimate to Allah's order, will and might. Allah (swt) is the master, the creator and not one particle in the vast universe moves except buy His order and will.

Heaven (part iv) Human's Ability to Comprehend Heaven

As I have mentioned earlier, the universe is vast and not simply comprehendible by human beings. Allah (swt) states int eh Qur'an "And we have made the heavens a canopy well guarded and yet they from its signs turn aside" (Qur'an ;). None can ever even imagine passing through the heavens. Though man is trying to travel through space, even if he succeeds the journey will be only with its wn limitation. None can ever know the exact extent of the space and the existence of the millions and millions of the solar systems one after the other being contrinuously discovered more and ever mroe by every stronger telescope that man could make. it clearly indicates the impossibilty of any travel by anyone all through the whole of space. Besides the professors of witchcraft falsely claiming their journey into the heavens, this verse negates all such false claims of such bogus spiritualists getting into heaven or getting anythign from it. (Ahmed Ali Qur'an Tafsir: ;). Allah (swt) further states thta "Or for them is a ladder by which they can climb up into heaven and listen to the angels? Then let the listeners of theirs bring forth a proof manifestation." This verse is directed towards those who claim that besides logical methods of the approach to the moral, social and theological problems, they have special ways of direct communion or direct toouch qwith the divine sources. Claims of such nature have no v)alue unless it is supported by clear and irrefutable evidence such as miracles. (Qur'an Tafsir by Ahmed Ali; 52;38)

Heaven (part III) The Seven Heavens

Allah (swt) has created seven heavens, however we only have knowledge of the lowest ehaven. However, how can we understand the reasoning behind somethign that is beyond our human capacity? How can we be so sure that the heaven we are working towrds does in fact exist? How can we be sure that the moral order we are choosing to follow brings with it the promise of an afterlife? Allah (swt) states in the Quran "He who created the seven heavens one above another no want of proportion will you see in the creation of Allah, most gracious so turn your vision again. Do you sdee any flaws? And again turn your vision, your vision will come back". This explains a lot. It shows us that when we look towards the nearest of the heavens, the farthest that we can see is this earth, the sun and the moon and the galaxies which are put together and accomodated in the lowest of the heaven or the regions and we have knowledge of its vastness. Just by our attempts we can understand that they are beyond the conception of our human intellect. A lot of times in the Qur'an Allah (swt) will explain the nature of things that are within our comprehension through the human capacity but here Allah (swt) tells us to put forth our best attempts and even while we gaze at the lowest heaven we can understand the vastness of it which is infinite, vast and ocntinuous. Because right now we are finite beings, it is difficult to comprehend infinity but through our search towards the heavens, we can see it exists but never fully be able to comprehend it. Allah (swt) states int the Qur'an "And the heavens we did raise it up with our might and verilyu we are the explander of it." This indicates the expandabillity of the space. Impllying its present limitation and discarding its fixity. (Ahmed Ali Tafsir: 51;47). In other words, its infinite nature and how the unversie is constantly expanding as science has recently proved and how it is unlimited. Allah (swt) also states "And He made them seven heavens in two days (periods) and reveealed in every ehaven His Will and adorned the lower heavens with lights (of the brilliant stars) and made it guarded (with angels). That is the decree of the All-Mightly, the All knowing" (Qur'an 41;12). This shows us that only the lower heaven contains the illuminating stars which might also mean that the after six skies beyond may be in a nebula sstate. Allah (swt) also states in the Qur'an that "Then He applied Himself unto the heaven which was yet only a smoke, so said He unto it unto the earth 'come ye too, willing or reluctatnt' said the two 'we come willingly'" This might be referring to the theory of Nebula as the original form of the heavenly bodies. (Ahmed Ali Tafsir: 41;11). Allah (swt) states in the Qur'an "What! see they not up unto the heaven above them how we have made it and adorned it, no gaps therein?" (Quran: 50;6). The Qur'an is drawing attention to the continuity of the creation in space and time and that in spite of all the variations there is no gap. Thus life in its evolutionary state is an evolutionary continuity. (Quran Tafsir by Ahmed Ali, ;). Everything int he heavenly regions are in such perfect harmony and order with one another and the motions of each body in the space is so marvellously regulated by the universal law that nowhere in the kingdom of Allah (the universe) there is the elast flaw of any irregularity or failture or a gap. There is neither any incongruity in the working of the law of nature nor there is any disorder or laxiety. This proves the absolute unity of the one singular and supreme authority ruling the whole world visible and invisible to us. The inconceivably vast space is one continued state that there is no gap between one region and the other. There is continuity in the universe with no gaps or break whatsoever in betewen. It is one of the signs of the unity of the creator.

Heaven (part II) The Lower Heaven

The lower heaven contains evil spirits as well as good spirits, however, it serves as a boundary and prevents the evil sppirits from rising above the first realm of Allah (swt)'s creation of heavens. The arabic word for the lower heaven is 'samad dunya'. This is the nearest heaven to earth and is lower than the heavens which could be called to be the seat of the exalted asssembly of the angels. They are beautifully decorated with stars and these play a part in the well planned grouping and the perfectly harmonious working of everything in the heavens manifesting the unity, the power and the wisdom of the one All perfecct designer, ;c-reator and supreme master of the universe. (Ahmed Ali Quran Tafsir: 6-10). Allah (swt) states in the Quran "We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty in the stars. For beauty and for guard against all rebellious evil spirits. So they should not strain their ears in the direction of the exalted assembly but be cast away from every side, repulsed for they are under perpetual penalty. Except such as snatch away something by stealth and they are pursued by a flaming fire of piercing brightness" (Quran: 37; 6-10). This is most likely referring to the jinns or other evil spirits. It indicates that devilish beings are fascinated by the phenomena of the lower sphere and are unable to come in communion with the angelical beings of the higher sphere but some may attempt to get stealthily the news of the higher sphere but will be driven back. (Quran Tafsir Ahmed Ali). The kingdom of Allah is perfectly planned and entirely guarded against any rebellious elements, material or spiritual, venturing to disturb it. The functioning of the heavens manifest not only the inimitable divine beauty but also the glory of the power and the authority of the omnipotent creator. Goodness is always protected aginst evil. (Ahmed Ali Tafsir: 37;6-10). However, evil spirits as a respite could appproach the lower heaven and would get some information about the future and used to adulterate the knowledge with some falsehood on behalf of their own selves and inspire the matter to their devotees on earth but since the advent of the last apostle of Allah and the revelation of the final code of guidance, the holy Qur'an even this approach to the first or the lowest regions above has been stopped and since then no evil one could have any knowledge from the higher regions where the grand assembly of the holy and the heavenly beings is said to be held. (Ahmed Ali Quran Tafsir: 37;6-10). After the advent of the holy prophet, the doors of even the lower heavens got cloesd to the devils or the evil spirits. No soothsayer could cheat the people with false prophecies about the futue of persons. Even if the devislish spirits dared to rise to approach the regions of the assembly of the angels, it is repulsed and pursued by flames by means of shooting stars.

Heaven (part I) Good and Evil

According to the Qur'an, good and evil are both present. There is both good and evil spirits in the lower heaven in whcih we live. The lower heaven serves as a boundary to keep the evil spirits below and prevents them from entering above the seven heavens. Goodness is defined as original and real. Men of Allah who are defined as good are personified and are a reflection of the manifestation of the goodness of the lord and are duly protected and are called mansooms, the duly protected ones. This protection has been put into effect from the very moment they were brought into existence, keeping them away from every impurity and pollution. Evil is alienand opposed to the goodness which is original and has no permenance , for evil is only the act of rebelliousness against goodness out of viciuos desire of the devilish urge. Such corrupt souls or the evil spirits who lose by their own wickedness have the urge to rise above the material world. Their attempts are to rise but they are not gained and they have lost their title to it. They have inquisitiveness to know what is in the higher regions, the right to enter which they have forfeited. When such unwarranted attempts are made by the evil spiritis to rise into the heavently heights they are repelled and thrown into their base, the abyss. (Ahmed Ali Quran Tafsir: 37;6-10). An example of goodness on the other hand is the nobelest and purest spiritual beings which men can conceive outside the human rantks of God's creation, the angels. Among the angels the nearer ones are the 'arsh' or the central seat of the divine authority, those that are greater or superior in their excellence. The pure, noble and venerable abstract beings funciton one side in celebrating the praise and the glory of God and as the side in the solicitous prayers to the Lord for the protection or the forgiveness of the human fellows in creation below. (Ahmed Ali Quran Tafsir: 42;5). This shows us the motives an nature of goodness as well as the motives and nature of evilness. Goodness is original (being yourself) while evilness is a reactio nto it, a rebelliousness towards goodness.

Heaven Introduction

-written by Zartasha

You may wonder why you are here. What purpose has brougght us into the earth? Why Allah (swt) put us here in the first place and why he will place some of us in heaven and others in hell. We understand that shaitan can make us sin and lure us down in many ways and that Allah (swt) cannot allow impurities and evil spirits to cross onto other realms.
A lot of times you might wonder why you have to struggle so much or put up with a lot of things especially if there is no hope in something that might come out of your struggles. You might wonder why you have to give up so many worldy pleasures especially if tehre is nothing unattainable. This is harder when you are wealther. However, this is not only just a personal matter, this is a universtal matter. To understand something of this nature we have to broaden our horizons and see the heavens and understand their reality. We have to place our hopes in Allah (swt). Allah orders us to divert our attention towards the hereasfter and trust in Allah for our worldy affairs. Allah (swt) explains that the more man sues his brain and his perfected scientific implements, it only increaes his wonder about the heavens and their heavenly wonders. The increase in knowledge only increases the marvel about the objects, the heavens.
So let us begin by placing our hopes in Allah and making heaven more significant than earth and strengthen our spiritual self above our material self, working towards attaining Jannah rather than being trapped insdie the hellfire after the Day of Judgement. This seciton about the book 'Why did Allah (swt) create heaven, hell and earth' will be talking about the description of good and evil, the placement of human beings in the lower heaven, their judgement. There will be a description of the seven heavens followed by the description of the lower heaven and a description of its funciton. The human ability to comprehend heaven, the occurance of heavenly events at the timeof the judgement day and Allah\s control control over the heavenly bodies and human placement in the heavenly bodies. This will help us to understand the nature and reality of the heavens existence and insh'Allah strengthen our iman by allowing us to trust in Allah (swt)'s will and placing and strengthening our hopes in Allah who is our master and creator.

Purpose of the Night of Qadr

‎~~~Lailatul Qadr~~~
The Messenger (SAW) said: 'Whoever prays the Night of Qadr with Eemaan
(faith) and hoping for its reward, ALLAH will forgive him all his
previous sins.' [Bukhaaree and Muslim]

'Lailat-ul-Qadr' or 'Night of Power' a very important occasion in the
history of Islam and in our personnel lives.

The Night Of Power is better for you to live, to experience and to enjoy
than one thousand months of your personal life. Even if you were to live
one thousand months (83.3 years) with sincerity, dedication, and
sacrifices and with good intentions and deeds, the Night Of Power is
still far better for you to live and to enjoy.

ALLAH says in the Qur'an in Surah Al-Qadr:
'We have indeed revealed this (message) in the Night of Power. And what
will explain to thee what the Night of Power is? The Night of Power is
better than a thousand months. Therein come down the angels and the
spirit by God's permission, on every errand: Peace! This until the rise
of Morn.' (97:1-5)

The Night of Power is a night of blessings ALLAH has blessed this Night.
Therefore whosoever is interested in receiving the blessings of ALLAH may
look forward to the Night of Power.
Anyone who seeks the Night of Power and lives it, all his/her sin will be
erased. This is, as if, he/she is, born again now free of all sin and
mistakes.

Aa'isha (R) said: 'When the last ten days of Ramadhaan arrived the
Messenger (SAW) used to abstain (from contact a with his wives) and he
would establish the nights. He would awaken (his family) to do the same
also.' [Bukhaaree and Muslim]

I am sure every one of us would like to live a life free of sins an free
of mistakes. Everyone would like to meet ALLAH on the Day of Judgment
without sins. Every one of us would like to feel that he/she is reborn
today. All of us wish to rejuvenate ourselves, and to start a new year
with a fresh outlook and a fresh life. Every one of us wants to live a
pure life and everyone wants to purify himself/herself without anguish or
torment.

The Night of Power is one of the best way in which a person is to achieve
all these ideals. For this reason may I suggest that you start looking
for it, so you will be able to observe it and enjoy it.

Imam Bukhari reports from 'Aishah that the Messenger of ALLAH (may ALLAH
bless him and grant him peace) would tighten his waist-cloth (i.e. detach
himself from his wives), spend the night in worship and awake his family,
during the last ten nights of Ramadan.

As far as determining the Night of Power (Lailat-ul-Qadr) is concerned,
it has been reported to be during one of the odd numbered nights of the
last ten days of Ramadhaan, i.e. 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th or 29th. It has
been emphasized that it is most likely to be the 27th night. But this
doesn't mean you should stick to 27th night only..

The Signs of the Night of Qadr.

The Messenger of ALLAH (js) described the morning of the night of Qadr so
that the muslims can know which night it is.
Ubayy (R) said: 'On the morning of the night of Qadr the sun would rise
without any beams; (it is like) a wash basin until it rises.' [Muslim]
Abu Hurairah (R) said: 'We mentioned the night of Qadr to the Messenger
of ALLAH (JS) and he said: 'Which of you remembers when the moon rises
and it is like half a bowl.' [Muslim]
Ibn Abbaas (R) said that the Messenger of ALLAH (JS) said: 'The night of
Qadr is a night of generosity and happiness, it is not hot and neither is
it cold. The sun comes up in its morning weak, reddish.' [Tabaranee, Ibn
Khuzaimah and Bazzaar]
To summarize, I would like to mention the following:

1.. The sun rises early in the morning without rays.
2. Rain may fall either during the night or during the day of that night.

3. During night the sky will be lightly foggy.
4. The sky will be slightly lighted without reflections and without rays.

5. The angels and Gabriel all descend down onto earth for many purposes.

If you are interested in living the Night of Power, let me remind you of
some of the things that you might have to do.

a. Recitation of the Our'an.
b. Prayers-Nafl after Taraweeh.
c.. Remembrance of ALLAH or zikr
d. Supplication or Du'a for you and for others.
e. Reading books of Hadeeth so as to enjoy the sayings of Prophet
Muhammad (SAW).

In Sahih Bukhari (6/521), there is an amazing piece of advice from the
Prophet (may ALLAH blesses him and grants him peace): 'Recite the Quran
as long as your hearts agree on it; if you disagree about it, stop
reciting it (for the time being)' -- studying the Quran should bring
people together!

Ten days are the last part of the month and a person's actions are based
on his last ones. So perhaps, he will encounter the night of Al-Qadr,
while standing in prayer for ALLAH and thus have all his past sins
forgiven.

The Night of Power is a very important occasion in Islam. Everyone is
asked to live it and to enjoy it. This Night is a 'Night of Mercy', a '
Night of Blessing', a 'Night of Peace' and a 'Night of Guidance'. It is a
'Night of Unification' between the finite world of ours and the Infinite
Universe of the Unseen.

May ALLAH give us the strength, the power, the courage and the effort to
do our best to obey ALLAH and to follow His teachings. May ALLAH guide us
and may ALLAH strengthen our Emaan May ALLAH help us to live another year
with sincerity and devotion. May ALLAH make us realize that one year of
our life is over and that we are one year closer to our graves.

Let us wake up and do our best to please ALLAH in our daily life. Let us
ask Almighty ALLAH forgiveness. Ameen.

And one must incite, animate and persuade his family to perform acts of
worship, especially in these great times in which no one neglects it
except that he has been deprived. What is more incredible than this is
that while the people are performing prayer and making tahajjud, some
individuals spend their time in forbidden gatherings and sinful events?
This is indeed the greatest loss. We ask ALLAH for his protection.

So we ask ALLAH to grant us the ability to change ourselves for the
better, during this blessed month, and not to be of those who are
prevented from His Mercy and forgiveness. Indeed He is the One who Hears
and He is the One to Respond.
Take a vacation for ALLAH

We take a break from our jobs for almost everything in life. Why not this
time to focus on worshiping and thanking our Creator.

If this is not possible at least take a few days off if you can. This can
make it easier to stay awake at night to do extra Ibadah. Whatever you
loose is very negligible in front of whatever you gain from this Night.

Brothers and sisters in Islam!

Fear ALLAH Ta'ala and beware of wasting your life away in futile
activities. Make use of your time by being positive and constructive.
This may this will be your last Ramadaan, your last opportunity to
benefit from the special blessings and forgiveness that accompanies this
month. Know that Ramadaan is a manifestation of ALLAH Ta'ala's bountiful
blessings on His slaves. Use it as a turning point in your life; a time
for transformation towards a better way of life.

Yaa ALLAH ! We are full of sins. We ignore you in our life, Please don't
ignore us and guide us towards your path with the help of Prophet
Mohammed (SAW). And open our hearts to understand our Deen.. Ameen.........

Getting Rid of Laziness

An ostrich does this. An ostrich sees danger and just puts it's head in the ground. Laziness has a lot to do with not facing the reality. Sleeping in or just not wanting to wake up. Eventhough it is usually because we are really sleepy.. or tired from the previous day when it gets to the point of excessive sleeping.. that it is usually because of just wanting to hide from the reality.

Also, its like you're in an ocean and ... if u cant swim than you're drowning..

Sleeping in for hours and hours is just going to give you a headache. I never wake up for anything anymore except if I'm about to miss namaz. It seems to be the number one most significant thing and these days
Make namaz your priority. Evertyhing else you might make excuses for and get away with sleeping but never get away with sleeping when you have an obligation to fulfill. After the time is up, its over. Keep a few alarms all around you. Remember:

1. time is passing away
2. remember the hellfire.
3. remember your obligation
4. GET UP !
5. Make your spiritual self stronger than your material self
6. Your day otherwise will have low spirits just the form in which you woke up...

and how could you not wake up ?
after everything you've gone through how could you not wake up ?
how could you not stand up to pray
how could you delay ?
what kind of decent person would do somethign like that
how ungratful is that ?
get up when its time
get up when its time.

dont be like an ostrich. Get up and face the reailty. Time is slipping away. You can take a nap after you are finished your obligations..
